Zareen Khan issued arrest warrant in Kolkata for alleged cheating

Kolkata:  Bollywood actress Zareen Khan has been issued an arrest warrant by a Kolkata court on charges of cheating. The warrant was issued after Khan failed to appear in court for a hearing in the case, which was filed against her in 2016.

According to police, Khan was contracted to appear at a function in Kolkata during Durga Puja in 2016. However, she did not show up at the event, which had been organized by a local company. The company then filed a complaint against Khan with the police, alleging that she had cheated them out of ₹12 lakh.

Khan has denied the allegations, saying that she was misled by the organizers. She claims that they told her that the event would be attended by high-profile guests, including the chief minister of West Bengal. However, when she arrived in Kolkata, she found that the event was much smaller than she had been led to believe.

Khan also claims that she had a disagreement with the organizers over travel and accommodation arrangements. She says that she decided not to participate in the event as a result of this disagreement.

Khan’s manager appeared in court on her behalf and was granted bail. However, Khan herself has not appeared in court.

In a statement, Khan said that she is “shocked” by the arrest warrant and that she is “confident that the truth will come out.”

Khan is a Bollywood actress who made her debut in 2009 with the film “Veer.” She has since appeared in several films, including “Housefull 2” and “Grand Masti.”
