At the Asian Games on Saturday, China defeated India’s Sarabjot Singh and Divya TS to claim the silver medal in the mixed team 10m air pistol event. Chinese shooters Zhang Bowen and Jiang Ranxin won the shoot-off for gold with a final score of 16–14. India has thus far taken home 19 medals in shooting from the continental competitions, comprising 6 gold, 8 silver, and 5 bronze. In the qualification round, Sarabjot shot 291 and Divya scored 286 for a combined 577, finishing ahead of China’s 576. The Chinese couple trailed the Indian combo for a large portion of the finals, but they turned the tables on them in the shoot-out for the gold.
