All of this fame and support, though, come at a cost. The actor has indeed encountered bizarre fan situations at various points and periods. One of these instances was the stalking of Shahid by a female admirer who was not just any ordinary person but the daughter of a renowned Bollywood star.

Vastavikta Pandit, the late great actor Raaj Kumar’s daughter, allegedly had an obsession with her father.She allegedly met Shahid while both of them were enrolled in the choreographer Shiamak Davar’s dancing courses back when he wasn’t yet an actor. During that time, Vastavikta allegedly fell in love with Shahid. But because the “Udta Punjab” actress didn’t feel the same way, over time her love developed into an addiction. Vastavikta ultimately began stalking Shahid after that.
Shahid Kapoor reported Vastavikta to the police in 2012, alleging that she had been following him nonstop. While claiming to be his biggest admirer, she allegedly followed him about on set, interfered with his outside activities, and even perched on the bonnet of his car. When she made the uncommon decision to move into a house next to Shahid’s, things became worse.
She started introducing herself to the residents of their neighborhood as Shahid’s wife, which only made matters worse. She avoided the issue, though, when Shahid decided to call the police and denounce her.
Vastavikta also gave acting in movies a shot. In 1996, she made her acting debut. She attempted to wow the audience with her acting abilities, but she fell short.
On the home front, Shahid and Mira Rajput are now blissfully wed. Misha and Zain are the two children of the marriage.
