Mumbai : The construction of Package 15 of the Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway is progressing well, with contractor Navayuga picking up the pace of work. The package, which spans 28 kilometers between Vashala BK and Birwadi in Thane district, is expected to be one of the most scenic stretches of the expressway, thanks to its multiple tunnels, viaducts, and greenery all around.

According to a recent update from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), Navayuga has completed over 60% of the work on Package 15. This includes the construction of two major tunnels, one of which is 1.5 kilometers long. The contractor has also completed the construction of several viaducts and bridges, and is currently working on the laying of the asphalt pavement.

The MSRDC has expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on Package 15, and has stated that the package is on track to be completed by the end of 2023. Once completed, Package 15 will be a major milestone in the construction of the Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway, and will bring the two cities closer together.

The Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway is a 701-kilometer long expressway that is being constructed by the MSRDC.
