News Trust of India: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started a case against a non-governmental organization (NGO) established by writer and human rights campaigner Harsh Mander, alleging that it has breached the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act.
According to PTI, officials conducted searches at the organization’s headquarters on Friday. Harsh Mander, a past member of the National Advisory Council chaired by Sonia Gandhi in the previous UPA government, is the founder of the NGO Aman Biradari.
An FIR has been filed against Aman Biradari for allegedly violating certain provisions of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act after a complaint by the Union Home Ministry.
