With Vasan Bala’s Jigra, Alia Bhatt will return to the big screen in September of next year. Her own Eternal Sunshine Productions produced the movie.
The announcement trailer for Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movie, Jigra, has been released by Dharma Productions. Vasan Bala’s film appears to be a story about a sister’s love for and willingness to sacrifice for her brother. The movie will debut in September of the following year.
A drawing of Alia wearing a shirt and pants, a backpack, and a somber expression is displayed in the video. She is seen waiting in a roadway with neon lights and billboards all around her. The actor’s voiceover may be heard saying, “Dekh mujhe. What is my rakhi pehenta now? You have my mere protection. Kuch bhi hone nahi dungi tujhe main. Look at me, Kabhi bhi. Do you really wear my rakhi? You are protected by me. I’ll make sure nothing bad happens to you. Ever).”
Dharma Productions posted the video on Twitter and stated, “@aliaa08 is back to put up a brave fight like no other for her #Jigra! The Vasan Bala-directed film JIGRA will open in theaters on September 27, 2024.
Presenting #Jigra, a film produced by @dharmamovies & @eternalsunshineproduction and directed by the incredibly gifted @vasanbala. In many respects, it feels like I’ve come full circle from my beginnings, from my acting debut in a Dharma production to our current collaboration on a film. Every day is unique, thrilling, difficult, and even frightening. I CANNOT WAIT to share more as we proceed, not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this picture to reality. JIGRA will debut in theaters on September 27, 2024.
The movie is made by Alia’s own production company, Eternal Sunshine, and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
In addition to Jigra, Alia has the Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif movie Jee Le Zaraa. The Hollywood strike has, however, interfered with Priyanka’s schedule, causing the movie to be delayed.
