The Valorous Champions Tour (VCT) has revealed plans for its 2023 season, which include the creation of a brand-new international league, international competition in brand-new cities, and year-round competition on emerging circuits.
“We are really happy of what we did this year, especially how our teams stood up to promote the sport and its players, and we are ready to uncover additional opportunities in 2024 to spotlight the best in the game,” said Leo Faria, Global Head of Valorant Esports. We are revamping the season design and scope of our events to achieve better advancement, a wider global reach, and additional ways for players and fans to participate with Valorant.

Beginning in 2024, each foreign league will hold a two-week immersion competition that will bring eight teams to the season’s first global event, Masters Madrid. The global VCT will be held in Spain for the first time to decide the best team of the year.
Challengers is adding more Tier 2 athletic events to its year-round program. To boost the movement of players between international leagues, challengers, and game changers, a loan system for team members and players will be implemented.
The game’s VCT entry point is Valorant’s new Premier mode. In the 2024 season, an unprecedented number of elite teams will compete at the highest level. Following the Ascension event, three teams defeated the challengers and earned the ability to compete in worldwide leagues for the next two years. Guard, Gentle Mates, and Bleed Esports all made it after a year of fierce competition.
Champions Points will connect international leagues and global competitions in the 2019 season, measuring team performance and deciding eligibility for global events. The second Masters tournament of the season will be held in Shanghai, with twelve teams competing for championship points and Masters Qualification.
