Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday lay the cornerstone for numerous development projects totaling more than $26,000 crore in Jagdalpur, Bastar, ahead of the 2023 Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections. He dedicated the Nagarnar steel factory of NMDC Steel Ltd. to the country.

“Steel production is a well-known industry in Chattishgarh. More attention is being paid to infrastructure improvement. 50,000 people will have employment prospects as a result of the new steel production, according to the prime minister.
A new rail line between Antagarh and Taroki and a project to double an existing rail line between Jagdalpur and Dantewara will also be dedicated by the PM.
He will also dedicate the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’s refurbishment of Jagdalpur Station and the Boridand-Surajpur rail line doubling project.
The Taroki-Raipur DEMU Train Service will also be flagged off by the prime minister. The state’s tribal territories will have better connection thanks to these train projects. Locals will profit from the increased train service and upgraded rail infrastructure, which will also aid in the region’s economic growth.
Additionally, he will dedicate National Highway-43’s “Kunkuri to Chhattisgarh – Jharkhand Border section” road improvement project. The residents living in the area will benefit from the new road’s improved road connectivity.
