Actress Jaya Prada, a seasoned performer, is facing legal issues. She has reportedly been given a six-month prison term by the Egmore Court in Chennai. Additionally, Jaya was required to pay a fine of Rs. 5,000 in response to a plea submitted by the staff of a theater she owns in Rayapeta, Chennai. Although she owns it, Ram Kumar and Raja Babu, two locals, manage the movie theater. Even they were found guilty of failing to pay theater employees’ ESI benefits.
According to sources, the problem began when the cinema’s management was unable to pay the ESI; as a result, they went to the Chennai court. According to reports, Jaya requested that the court drop the case after promising to pay their debts. The theater in question has been closed. They didn’t receive the ESI that was withheld from their pay. It appears that the employees stated that the Government Insurance Corporation was not even compensated.
According to sources, despite her appeal, The Labour Government Insurance Corporation brought a claim against her. She was further troubled by the court’s denial of her appeal and the punishment and imprisonment it imposed. The legal counsel for Jaya has not yet given the media a notice about this.
