The Honor 90 will undoubtedly go on sale in India soon, though no timetable has been determined. The device and the Honor 90 Pro were both released in China in May of this year. The Honor 90 in India will debut with bloatware-free software, according to Madhav Sheth, the current CEO of HonorTech and a former employee of Realme India. The Honor 90 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC and boasts a 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging capability.
The CEO of the firm stated that the eagerly anticipated Honor 90 will be sold in India with Google applications pre-installed, but only those that people use and are actually productive, such as Google Maps, Google Drive, etc. He continued by saying that the phone will have a “smooth, stable, and non-intrusive” user interface, effectively guaranteeing the absence of bloatware.
Sheth revealed that the phone will come with the MagicOS 7.1 user interface, which is based on Android 13. He added that the Honor 90 India model will have a robust, quad-curved AMOLED floating screen, but he made no other technical details known. He continued by saying that the business would offer three years of security updates in addition to two years of Android upgrades. The CEO told customers that the model would soon be available in India, but he made no specific release date announcement.
The Honor 90 is rumored to go on sale in India at around Rs. 35,000, competing with other smartphones on the market including the OnePlus Nord 3 5G, iQoo Neo 7 Pro, and Poco F5 5G. The device debuted in China priced CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 29,160) for the 12GB + 256GB storage edition, with availability changing by location. It is also available in Diamond Silver, Emerald Green, Midnight Black, and Peacock Blue color variants.
The Chinese version of the Honor 90 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,200 x 2,664 pixels) curved OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits. It has an internal storage capacity of up to 512GB and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC with up to 16GB of RAM.
A 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor are all part of the Honor 90’s triple back camera setup, which was first introduced in China. A 50-megapixel front camera sensor is mounted next to it in a hole-punch slot that is centered at the top of the panel. It has a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 66W wired rapid charging.
