The Prime Minister inaugurates projects worth Rs. 4,200 crore in Uttarakhand

Pithoragarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for numerous development projects totaling Rs 4,200 crore in Uttarakhand. The projects aim to improve the state’s infrastructure, agriculture, and other critical services, particularly in hilly areas.

Among the important projects launched by the Prime Minister are:

21,398 poly-houses: Poly-houses are greenhouses that use plastic or glass to produce a controlled environment for growing crops. There are 21,398 of them. The development of 21,398 poly-houses in Uttarakhand will contribute to increased agricultural yield and farmer revenue.

High-density apple orchards: Compared to traditional orchards, high-density apple orchards have more trees per hectare. As a result, yields and fruit quality improve. The establishment of high-density apple orchards in Uttarakhand will aid in increasing apple production and making the state more competitive in the global market.

Double-laning of roads and slope treatment of highways: Road doubling and highway slope treatment: Road doubling and highway slope treatment would increase connectivity and safety in Uttarakhand’s steep districts. Both locals and tourists will gain from this.

32 bridges: The development of 32 bridges will boost the state’s connectivity and transportation. This will be especially useful for persons who live in distant and inaccessible locations.
