(NTI): Today marks the 49th birthday of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttarakhand has dedicated this day as Sankalp Diwas, celebrating with a sense of commitment and dedication. Among the many festivities, the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee took the lead by conducting special worship rituals in several temples, including the revered Badrinath and Kedarnath temples, in honor of the Chief Minister’s birthday.

On this auspicious occasion, which falls on Monday, during the Bhadrapada month Shukla Paksha Trayodashi, the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) arranged for elaborate puja-archana and havan ceremonies. These were carried out not only in the prominent Badrinath and Kedarnath temples but also in other significant temples such as the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, Nrisinha Temple in Joshimath, Tritiya Kedar Tungnath, and the Siddhpeeth Kalimath. Prayers were offered for the Chief Minister’s long and healthy life, as well as for the continued prosperity of the state.

BKTC President Ajendra Ajay noted that in Badrinath, Rawal, Acharya, and Vedpathis performed the Mahabhishek Puja, which is a grand and comprehensive form of worship, in the name of Chief Minister Dhami. Similarly, in Kedarnath Dham, the Shodashopachar and Rudrabhishek pujas were conducted with full devotion. Key figures such as Vice President Kishore Pawar and Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal also participated in these rituals at Badrinath Dham.

In addition to the main temples, other sacred places such as the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, Shri Nrisinh Temple in Joshimath, Third Kedar Tungnath, Vishwanath Temple in Guptkashi, and the Siddhpeeth Kalimath also hosted pujas and havans. The BKTC President mentioned that the following day, a special puja would be organized to celebrate the birthday of the nation’s esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These rituals will include prayers for his long life and the continued well-being of the country, encompassing all temples including the sacred Badri-Kedar.
