Maneka Gandhi of the BJP receives a 100-Crore Defamation Notice from ISKCON

The former central minister was heard criticizing the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in an undated video that has gone viral.

ISKCON, a religious organization, said on Friday that it has served BJP MP Maneka Gandhi with a defamation notice for querying the organization about the care of cows in its gaushalas (cowsheds).

ISKCON’s vice-president Radharamn Das issued a statement saying, “Today, we have submitted a 100 crore defamation notice against Maneka Gandhi for leveling utterly false claims against ISKCON.

He referred to the claims as “malicious accusations” and said that the allegations had gravely hurt the community of ISKCON devotees, followers, and well-wishers across the world.
