NTI, Ghaziabad : Footage of a heated altercation between lawyers and police at the Ghaziabad District Court has surfaced on social media, showing police resorting to lathi charges to disperse the crowd. The conflict erupted following a disagreement between a judge and the lawyers over a case involving a Bar Association official. As the tension escalated, police intervened with force to clear the court premises, leading to several lawyers being injured.
In videos circulating online, police are seen using lathis to remove lawyers from the courtroom, with some chairs reportedly hurled amid the turmoil. The situation intensified as a large group of lawyers gathered around the judge’s chamber, prompting the judge to call for police assistance.
In response to the lathi charge, angry lawyers staged a protest and reportedly vandalized the police post within the court complex, chanting slogans against the judge. Following the clash, judges in the court suspended their work for the day, and the Bar Association has announced a meeting to discuss the incident.
