Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami launches Rojgar Prayog Portal at Youth Festival-2023

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has made a huge contribution to youth empowerment by launching the cutting-edge Rozgar Prayag Portal in a magnificent unveiling at the Yuva Mahotsav-2023 event. This sophisticated platform was painstakingly developed by the government with the intention of streamlining job prospects within the state. It serves as a lone entry point for Uttarakhand’s lively youth to access a wide range of employment opportunities.

The Chief Minister also presented the groundbreaking “Yuva Uttarakhand App,” which was developed by the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA), at the same time. This ground-breaking app brings together several government programs under one virtual roof, providing the aspirant youth with an easy-to-use tool.

The Chief Minister officially opened self-employment facilities inside the boundaries of employment offices, thereby enhancing the state’s job landscape. These facilities will act as information hubs and application processing facilities for government programs. Notably, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to empowering Uttarakhand’s young by promising to develop like facilities in all districts.

A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed at the occasion between Microsoft, IIT Roorkee, and the Skill Development and Employment Department. This strategic partnership aims to upskill workers in the construction industry by leveraging IIT Roorkee’s technical expertise to improve the workforce’s skill set in the state. Microsoft will also extend its expertise to assist underprivileged groups in society by teaching students in higher technical institutes digital capabilities.

Learned Skills Pvt. Ltd. signed a deal to train Uttarakhand’s youth in Japanese language and culture so they can work as Elderly Care Givers in Japan. This action reflects innovation and global potential. Additionally, MoUs with Generise Global and Envertz Consultancy were formed, promoting employment possibilities for nursing trainees in Germany, England, and Ireland.

The importance of these efforts was stressed by the chief minister,  Pushkar Singh Dhami, in his speech to the crowd at Parade Ground in Dehradun. He emphasized the importance of young people in determining the course of the state and the country, praising their talent, capacity, and commitment. The Chief Minister argued that the power of India’s youth is the cornerstone of a nation in resurgence under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He promised the kids constant support and committed to fight injustice on all fronts.

He referenced initiatives like anti-copying laws and strict action against recruitment scams to highlight the government’s dedication to the welfare of young people. He also underscored the administration’s constant efforts to create jobs and encourage self-employment, mentioning the distribution of 1,000 appointment letters over the previous two weeks.

In addition, the Chief Minister emphasized the need of promoting a sports culture in the state, praising the launch of a new sports strategy and the return of sports quotas in employment distribution. The “Mukhyamantri Udyyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana” now offers sports scholarships, demonstrating the commitment of the government to the progress of young people.

In his final remarks, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami urged the youth of the state to actively contribute to the development and prosperity of Uttarakhand. He pictured Uttarakhand as the leading state of the country in the future, and he is steadfastly committed to achieving that vision.

The Minister for Skill Development and Employment,  Saurabh Bahuguna, reiterated the view and emphasized the vital importance of skill development for Uttarakhand’s development. He emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to give educated youth guidance and opportunity, stressing that their strength and abilities are the cornerstone of the state’s economic success.

This occasion ushers in a pivotal phase in Uttarakhand’s journey toward a better future in the august presence of the mayor, Sunil Uniyal Gama, the MLA,  Khajanadas,  Brij Bhushan Gairola, the secretary,  Vijay Kumar Yadav, Deependra Chaudhary, and the director of the ITDA, Mrs. Nitika Khandelwal.
