Now that it has internet browsing capabilities, ChatGPT can give consumers up-to-date information.
Currently available to Plus and Enterprise members, the new “Browse with Bing” function will soon be made available to all users.
When performing jobs that call for current information, the capability is especially helpful.
According to a recent announcement from OpenAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT can now explore the internet to give consumers the most recent news. Currently only available to Plus and Enterprise members, this new “Browse with Bing” option will soon be made available to all users.
“ChatGPT can now search the internet to provide you up-to-date, reliable information along with links to the original sources. It is no longer restricted to data collected before to September 2021,” OpenAI wrote on X.
The business also stated that it has gotten helpful feedback since the initial launch of browsing in May. Following robots.txt and recognizing user agents are two recent upgrades that allow sites to manage how ChatGPT communicates with them.
For jobs that require current knowledge, such as when someone wants assistance with technical research, is attempting to buy a bike, or is planning a trip, OpenAI feels that browsing is especially helpful.
Users of Plus and Enterprise have access to browsing, and all users will soon have it as well.

Recently, new speech and picture features for ChatGPT were revealed by OpenAI. The AI chatbot can now see, hear, and talk as a result. A novel text-to-speech algorithm that can produce human-like sounds from merely text and a short sample of speech powers the voice functionality. Meanwhile, multimodal GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 boost image understanding. It’s crucial to remember that ChatGPT’s new voice and picture features are only accessible to Plus and Enterprise customers.
